I'm 27, wife is 25, 3 cars. Allstate.

When it was just me it was around $120 a month for the Elise and S2000.

around $835/6 months.

Come next July, I need to get it lowered a little.

Everyone should also post the state they live in. That has such a huge impact on insurance.

NJ insurance is outrageous.

When my s2000 was my DD, I paid ~$2200 a year for full coverage, with NJ Manufacturers insurance (best in NJ). Now it's a secondary vehicle, so it's only $1100. My Mazdaspeed 3 with full coverage is $2200.

I am a 24 year old male, college graduate. Perfect driving record. Have never been pulled over, never had a point.

What I pay is average/below average for NJ.

Again, NJ insurance is outrageous.

No offense, but there are way too many more variables to consider before you can even begin to compare premiums.

Just living in a different state can have a drastic impact.

I disagree.

There are so many factors that go into insurance rate that these comparisons are a waste of bandwidth. If people just want to form a circle and waste bandwidth, why bother with details.

yup. i mean, state is a huge generalization... california...population of 37 million... texas.... 800 miles end-to-end... geographic factors are specific to the zip code, etc

There are a lot of variables which makes these threads fairly pointless IMO -- especially since people that reply tend to fail to post enough details for any meaningful comparisons. At a minimum, replies really need to include:
  • Number of drivers and ages and gender as well as driving history
  • Credit rating if used by the insurance company
  • All vehicles
  • Location
  • Coverage amounts for Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Uninsured Motorist, UIM Bodily Injury, Personal Injury and Medical
  • Deductibles for Comprehensive and Collision
  • Any additional features such as: Accident Forgiveness, Rental Reimbursement, Towing & Labor, etc
Otherwise, there are plenty of existing insurance threads to refer to.
Not to mention what mileage you claim for the year.

But other than that,

So your liability is $30,000 per person and $60,000 per accident???? I hope don't have any assets because if you ever hit and injure anyone you are waaaay under insured.
