These units have helped a bunch of people with their oil consumption:

AP2s don't seem to burn oil as much as AP1s I don't think ... I don't remember exactly why (different prep on the heads?) but there was a reason the newer engines don't burn oil. A new F20C engine (either in a Euro S2000 or a replacement part) shouldn't burn oil either because of the update in one of the parts that both engines share.
AP2 engines are honed with a dummy head torqued onto the block.

The AP1s were not, and while it may have been bored in a perfect circle, it is not the case when a head is attached. The AP2s is, though. Oil can seep through those small gaps and burn in the cylinders.

05 with 14000 on the clock.... 3500 mile oil change intervals. Not burning any oil at all, and the car is constantly above 5000+ rpms.

God, I love this little car.

O oil. I have a MY03 with 34k and it's my everyday car. I have been using the Castrol syntec and it stays cooler in hot weather as well as stop and go driving.

I'm ashamed to say this but I have never checked oil levels in my 4 year ownership of 3 different S2Ks, I know I'm bad boy
