How Much Power?
Andy, we have a forced induction forum on here that you can look through to gain a TON of knowledge when it comes to boosting your car. To answer your questions quickly though, you can make as much as you are willing to spend. With a SC'er you have less potential than a turbo setup, but you can still make a nice amount of power. There are a few guys on the board with over 400whp with SC'ers on stock internals, but it gets to a point where it is much easier to make more power with a turbo setup. Depending upon how power hungry you are you can also go with a thicker headgasket to drop the compression (2mm and 3mm gaskets are available) so that you can run higher boost. When you want more than say 400-450whp I would recommend building the bottom end, but the head has proven to flow very nicely stock. Also, spraying on top of boost is not really a good combo unless you are looking to break something. I'm not saying that it can't be done, but if I had a boosted car (which I do
) I would up the boost before running a 50 shot IMO.
