How much rain does it take to hydrolock?

i'm happy with it. i haven't dynoed it, because i'm not expecting much anyway. it eliminated heat soak, and sounds awesome (not too loud at all) at WOT. also, i hear a sucking/whistling sound from around 3-4k rpm at partial throttle, which is pretty sweet in everyday commute.
just be sure the cover the drain hole that drains onto most CAI filters in the s2k. Just do a search and you should know which hole I'm talking about. That seems to be the biggest issue in terms of hydrolocking. I had an Injen (same as v2) CAI and I was always worried whenever it rained so to ease my paranoia I switched to a K&N FipK

iv had a cai for 2 years now never had a problem i one hydroplained and ran into a puddle my car stuttered i reved it and it dies my heart stoped fearing hydrolock but i turned the motor over it fired up gave it a few revs and it cleard up ... lol
no worryes just be carful i try not to drive through puddles.
the biggest killer of engines in my own opinion is the missshift 3rd to 2nd i blew my engine that way and have heard tons of horror storys

I know lots of people have run CAIs and have had no problems. However, there are still people that have had issues with hydrolocking so even if the chance is < 0.05% I would rather not chance it. Gains between the two are the same (if intakes gave any gains at all).
