How much should I expect to pay?
How much should I be expecting to pay for a S2000 in ~ 2 years?
Looks like the value of the S2000 has been dropping about $1000 each year, even more for modifications done, damage ( even the slightest ) and mileage.
I'm guessing ~ $9000?
What do you think..?

Your question is too vague.
The price will fluxuate depending on condition, year of the car.. etc.
Maybe you can get a 150,000mile MY00 salvage title for $9k. But I doubt you can find a low mileage clean title MY04+ for $9k within the next 5 years.
Demand and Supply will also come in play... what if Honda decides to discontinue the car?.. There are many variables that come into play.

Look it up in the black book. Financial institutions put a lot of effort into figuring out the depreciation rates on these things. Beyond that it will come down to the individual situation of the seller. If the S2K is keeping him from paying rent, you'll probably get a deal.
If he is like most of the private sellers I've spoken to, he doesn't really want to sell it and just has the ad up to appease his wife.
