do you guys think lowering my car had something to cause my differential to blow?

 

lowering would cause any issues ... unless your car's so low that the diff's humping the ground all the time (which I'm sure you could hear that happening)

do you launch your car a lot?

 

I've never been in an S2000 when the differential failed but I'm struggling to think of why the CEL would flash when the differential went south?

 

Yeah, have you hade the ecu code read?

Your lowered with an AP1 did you have Half Shaft spacers?

 

how do diffs blow anyways? bad launches mainly?

 

that would cause it but it would happen even through rough driving. If your always launching your car or always shifting incorrectly then it starts to wear on the diff and sooner or later you'll have to replace it.

 

By shfting incorrectly I'm assuming you mean rough engagements, etc?

 

shifting fast to save time isnt bad though right? But my shifting does feel kinda hard when I do this.
