yeah if there is frame damage im pretty sure they will total the car.
Not true at all. I'm not going to post my usual response to frame damage as no one listens anyway

Cliff notes, frame damage is repairable and COULD be better then before the accident.

You are 100% correct on the frame damage comments. However, the "better than factory" usually applies to regular cars. Sports cars are usually built with extremely high tolerances, so getting them better than factory is damn near impossible. However, it can be repaired to factory spec, depending on damage.

this cost me about $1200 in used parts for both front and back (new everything for both.... new brake rotors, hubs, arms and a new driveshaft for the back).

I then paid a relative about $300 worth to install..... I broke my steering rack too so you should be much better off than me...

but since your insurance is paying you will most likely get new parts and the dealer will install.... so yours will be $3500 is my estimate.....(just guessing)....

they will charge full price for everything, top $ to install..., etc....

good luck...i doubt you did any frame damage... my rear looked similar to yours if I had the right photo angle....

If you broke your diff and a dearliship is doing the work, that is in the neighborhood of $4000 alone (based on my exp.) I would say that you should be on the border of totaling out if it is axle diff and wheel plus brakes and all. Looks like you got lucky on the body damage so that might save your from insurance wanting to total it. Good thing you are okay, and this should be a good lesson learned. AP1 + Rain - S2K exp. = bad news.

I highly doubt there will be any kind of frame damage. It's going to need all the suspension pieces, probably an axle, suspension crossmember maybe screwed too. PM me you VIN number and I'll write up an estimate tomorrow when I get to work.

Its the same for all cars. The frames are usually molded and then welded (or whatever) together meaning the engineering stress strain curve is the same.

Assuming the damage and subsequent bending to get it back and shape, doesn't pass the max stress point on the curve, the metal will in fact be stronger then how it was prior to the damage. On top of that, its know that machines can make a frame straighter then it was frome the factory.

So its a toss up really. It could come out for better or for worse but it really all depends on how badly damaged the frame is to begin with

did something similar to my S recently. assuming its just the visible suspension etc damage, you're still looking at ~3k is my guess. don't know about the diff.

you definately have some frame damage. I've seen similiar damage and the sub frame in the rear was bent. Granted the vehicle was drivable and still is however that particular rear wheel sticks out further then the other side causing rubbing with the fender over extreme dips in high speeds.

nice camber. that's like negative 45 degree camber. craziness.

it's either your axle popped out or you broke your struts.

I say about $4000 or so. don't know about frame damage without seeing it.
