repainting the valve cover and repainting the whole engine bay are two totally different things. i think there's some misunderstanding between the two of you.

Engine bay is all the inside metal... firewall, linings, etc. You take out the engine (plus the valve cover) to paint the engine bay.

but just a heads up...you'll probably have a much harder time selling the s2k if/when you do decide to get rid of it; whether it be selling privately or taking a big loss trading it in. if you don't plan on keeping the car forever, i see as a waste of time and money. that's just my opinion. good luck and keep us posted.
yea i was thinkin about that too. i really want to change the color and im pretty sure im gonna keep the car. i might possibly repaint the outside and once i do work to the engine then i'll paint the engine bay. but i'll let u guys know of my decision.

oh yeah right, $800. i used to paint cars and ppg paint and clear will run you around $300 to $400 at a minimum. it took 20+ hours to color change my old civic and i could pull the motor in a few hours. maaco down the street here charges like $250 and you dont even have to remove your bumper stickers or anything, just paint right over them.

Don't change colors. Sebring to Silverstone and vice-versa maybe, but other than that it's just a bad idea.

Check out the grammar on that Craigslist, "Our paint job start at..." Very nice! Please, take my $30K vehicle and start firing paint all over it. just dip the whole car, interior and all to save time.
