No such thing when you are talking about dealerships. They are going to try and play games with you and the best thing you can be is prepared.

Ok. Another issue. I dont independently pay for my insurance, its acutally on w/ my pops and moms, and my little brother. I pay $3500/9mo. i suppose. How much more will my insurance go up if I decide to put my dads name on the car too or just my name on it? Insurance may kill my chances on a S2K.

The only way that you'll know is to get quotes from insurance companies. It is very easy to do and quite fast. FYI, we have a good discussion going on in the SoCal Forum. You may want to check that out...

However, that rate seems really high. You must be relatively young...

I just turned 21 last week. I also have a speeding ticket on my record. (1pt.)

I'll check out that forum. Thanks.

I had a 20-over-or-less on my record, just turned 22, and that gave me a quote of about $399/mo at progressive. A few months ago i was quoted $1300ish for 6 months (cheaper than my 4dr 3.0 V6 by several hundred). Progressive recently raised their rates, i guess this car had been getting a lot of claims...

I got another ticket the other day, fighting this one (it was written for 70 in a 60), but it raises my 6 month rate by ~$100 on my current vehicle, and doesnt really touch my s2k quote either.

I cut my rates in half by switching companies, be sure to shop around.

There's a dealer in Pasadena (not Honda dealer) that has a white 01 with 5000 miles for $25,900
