I use Mobil1 and I change mine every 7-10k miles. I also use OEM Honda PCX filters.

I do mine at about 2500-3000 miles depending when I have time. It costs me just over 20 dollars for 5 quarts of Royal Purple 10w30 and I get an OEM filter for about 10 dollars. I have some connections though. having friends in the right places works wonders for saving money.

regular oil's perfectly fine if you change it when it needs changing. i think xviper runs havoline.

changing oil yourself is super easy. lots of pictures on this site to show you how. it'll take you more time to drive your car to the dealer, wait, and drive home than to change your own oil.

get a fumoto valve and it gets even faster.

Every 3 months or 3,750 miles, Mobil 1 and PCX. You may say it's wasteful, I don't care. If it makes you feel any better, I always recycle.
