How often do you redline?

I redline maybe once a week, but I actually find it very difficult to drive the S and NOT engage VTEC, since the gears are so short. If i have open road ahead and im merging onto the freeway i almost always hit VTEC. Heck, even cruising on the freeway we're at ~4k - a quick downshift to pass and you're there already!

i cant remember the last time i drove my car and didn't take my car to redline (not the rev limiter). im super meticulous about maintenance and warm up from a cold start, but other than that i daily drive it like i stole it. i didn't save all my extra cash for four years so that i could buy my dream car and drive it like a vag.

Redline for me is therapy. If I'm having a bad day, winding the motor up and rowing the gears is awesome. I agree, in a polite way, with people who're inquiring "Why did you buy an S if...". Seriously, why buy an S if you don't drive it like Honda envisioned? Driving like an ass is one thing, responsibly enjoying a beautiful piece of machinery is another.

I've redlined twice. Vtec once in a while when I need to pass or need to get over in the lane lol. Too scared to push the car often only once in a while bc its my baby!
