I take it to redline nearly every time I go for a driver longer than 10 minutes. I've bounced off the redline for a split second a few times when I wasn't paying attention to the tach on some hard pulls. No harm done, these things were meant to rev to the moon! I feel guilty if I don't drive it hard at least once a week.

Driving to work every day, not usually. Honestly, not even VTEC. Might take it to about 7500 RPM once merging. I like taking it up to about 5K normally for relaxed, yet spirited driving. On the weekend... often? I usually shift right before it blinks to 8K if I'm pushing it. I've only bounced the limiter a few times, but didn't feel bad about it. Any time there's an onramp, an open spot in traffic... Turns out downshifting to 4th on the interstate will get you up to triple digits pretty quickly. I agree with others sentiments that it's way more fun in the corners, though. It's fun exiting the onramp at fast lane speeds.

The limiter is there for a reason. To stop it over revving. Thats ur cut off point.
My ap1 hit red line everyday without fail... (was always warm and always had oil changed every 5xxxkms)
Now have ap2. It's not a daily car... Gets oil done every 2xxxkms coz I can and every time I take it out its gets reclined... If I'm having a bit of fun and wanna slide it a bit it gets bounced off the limiter...

I have seen people in type r and s2k at the track on the red line all day... My mate has tracked his for 50xxxkms(not all track but prob once a month) and he hits limiter all the time. Never an issue. Just keeps changing oil and filter and the car loves it. It's an s2k... They don't give u 9k rpm just to look at the numbers on the dash.... Lol
Mines getting work done now but u can bet ur ass on it that when I get it back the first thing I'm doing is hitting that red line.
85xxxkms and my engine is strong as.

redline stop light to stop light, unless it's raining or ice outside

8k shifts every time, never bouncing off limiter

It would definitely feel weird having another 1k to go if I had an ap1
