How often do you take the long way home?
I was driving back from my girlfriend's place tonight.. one of the few times my top has been down since I got the car two weeks ago (the weather has been crappy here in South Florida). I see my turn off coming up and I just keep driving. I can't remember the last time of done this.. I have had a number of fun cars to drive, but there is just something about this little car. I don't want to sound like a big softie (I did hit VTEC a couple times on the drive ) but I DON'T have to drive this car fast to enjoy it. I wonder if this feeling is going to wear off? Maybe I'll just supercharge it then

I love to take the LONG way home. I take it everytime I'm in need of a wash...as it involves some fine curling country roads...although, as it does, it also adds the plethora of "country bugs" to the front of the car....which means a hand wash, soon
As I wash the car everyother day it rains, and weekly with no rain, the long way home at times incurs the price of an additional wash...show me a more exciting "long way" home and I'll take it daily, that is, to my view, what the car is made for, excitement.
BTW, don't you just LOVE getting behind some unassuming driver who thinks that as they ALWAYS take the "exciting" road home, that they will "school" the insolent snappy car driver behind or ahead of them on the A-B-C's of the road...and then to pass them on a "slippery" stretch.....leaving them to "suddenly" click on the turn-signal so as to leave everyone's sight
What I'm trying to say is, enjoy the fact that we drive a fairly special car and as such, we should at times take full advantage of it...if not, why don't we all drive PT Cruisers !
