How often does your fuel gauge read
Almost never. I refuel when it hits 1/4 tank. I also reset the trip meter every tank so I can monitor mileage, and if it goes over 200 miles I will refuel, regardless of what the gauge says. I am boosted so my mileage isn't very good.
I don't have this problem, most likely due to my previous car. It was a B5 audi, the gas gauge would read fine until you reached half a tank left, then it would show you're on empty until you filled up again. So I'd have to constantly hawk the trip counter to make sure I don't run out of gas. Farthest I've ever went on that car was 300 miles, never ran out of gas
S2000 Gas Gauge Interpretation - A Handy Guide!
(By 25% decreasing amounts on the gauge display)
At least that's how it is with mine. If I fill up until the pump stops, I can drive about two full days with the gauge not budging from 100%. The bars start to go away after that. When the gauge gets below 1/2 it drops much more rapidly on the display. Once it's below 1/4 I know it's a matter of minutes before it's showing somewhere between 0 and 2 bars.
I also know that when the gauge hits zero and the light comes on, I tend to always have plenty of gas left, so really I suppose it's a matter of Honda placing the idiot light higher up than usual (at least in proportion to the total tank capacity).

1. Light comes on between 260-280 miles for me driving back and forth to work (at 280, I'm getting 25 mpg).
2. When the light comes on, and I fill it up, it indicates that I had about 2 gallons left when it came on ("about" came back to bite me).
3. I ran out once; light came on 310 (was cruising on expressway), and I ran out at 352 miles, getting 28 mpg. I couldn't get gas between exits when I needed to, and was only 2 miles from a station.
4. I evidently didn't have my claimed 2 gallons left; I figured it was b/c of cruising on the highway instead of my regular driving that changed the math??
5. I put 12.769 gallons in to fill it up.
6. Once, when I put 310 miles on the tank, filled it up with 11.04 gallons = 28 mpg.
7. Another time, I put 326 miles on the tank, filled it up with 11.5 gallons = -29 mpg.
8. 324 miles, put in 10.6; 314 miles,, put in 10.0; 327 miles, put in 11 gallons.

Last full tank, I managed 531.8kms before filling up.
Once the last bar went, I did a little under 20kms before getting home.
I find digital gauges to be all over the place and unreliable, when it was full I dropped 3 bars while driving to work, but by the time i got there it was back up to full. Not only in the S, but also in the FD (civic) we have at home too. And when I was close to empty as well, it went from 3 bars to empty back up to 2 bars before I ran it almost dry when I got home.

Scariest part is when your driving it hard on the track and all of a sudden realise you only have one bar left, that means you will still need to do 1-2 cool down laps, and make it all the way back into town where the only gas station in miles is located...ya your heart will skip a couple beats.
My fuel gauge is super fickle.
I will drive somewhere, park on level ground and turn my car off showing 3 bars.
Start it up an hour or two later and it will show no bars and fuel lights on.
I'll drive 10 mins and it will show one bar and drive it another 10min and it will show a 2nd bar.
Sometimes none of the bars will come back and ill be stuck on E.
I always set my trip meter and go by mileage.
