How to protect soft-top

Get some black 1" Velcro and use the loop or fuzzy side only. Put the top down about a third of the way to get some slack in it and stick it on the bows where the top is showing the wear. Cut to fit, of course.
Works great. Stays put. And you don't see it because it's black...

So what kind of glue do I use to glue the velcro onto the inside of the softtop? I don't want to screw this up.
Thanks

Most any of these solutions will work, but ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM DUCT TAPE. It belongs no where on your car. Any use of duct tape that involves tension will result in creep and loss of tension, and any use of duct tape that involves more than about three months will result in a gooey mess. Don't do it.
If you use electrical tape, be sure it's the real 3M stuff. The cheapo Chinese knock-off tape is just about as bad as duct tape - it creeps and seeps.

^ Use that to patch the cloth top from the inside. Also apply a patch on the rail at the point where it is rubbing.
Use Type-B, NOT Type-A
I used sail repair tape. Since it is made to make repairs on sailboat sails, it holds up to water and wind very nicely. Although it normally comes in white, just use a permanent black magic marker and even when used on the outside it is barely noticeable. You should be able to buy it at any marine supply store that has sailboat stuff. Or order it from WEST Marine.
