Default how reliable is s2k? with/without warranty

comparing to the standard of honda vehicle, does it have little annoying problems/noises like german vehicles?

how about s2k without warranty, is this a dangerous thing?

what are some common problems that everyone has?

If you were a new comer to this board, I'd point you to the answers. But given that you have been here more than 3 years and you are an S2000 owner, I think you can answer your own questions.

This car has one SEVERE problem. HUGE problem.

The problem is that when you own one, you never want to do work. You just want to go driving.

To be fair, though, S2Ki now lists everyone as an Owner...

The S2000 does develop a few squeaks and rattles over time, but nothing too bothersome. My '02 now has 73k miles on it and makes some noises that it didn't make when it was new, but that doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the car at all.

Reliabilty, for me, has been pretty good. No major mechanical failures yet. It requires more frequent maintenance than other Hondas (well except the NSX), but that's because other Hondas aren't sports cars. My only personal gripe about the S2000 is that 2nd gear is very "picky" when the car is cold; this resolves itself once the car has warmed up a bit. Do a search for "2nd gear grind" for more info on this. Other than that, it's been excellent.

Ah, I stand corrected. I just know that my profile was automatically converted to "Owner" even though I never registered my VIN.
