Default Need Advice: maybe transmission problem

Hey i just bought MY02 a few weeks ago it now has around 10k miles on it. Well anyway today i decided to take it out for alittle ride and while i was accelerating through first gear around 6500 or 7000 rpm it began to jump like the break was being pressed and released quickly. i didn't touch the break and the hand break wasn't up so i decided to try it again and the same thing happened. I accelerated through first gear and around the same rpm it started to happen again. I don't know whats going on. Any advice would be very helpful.

did you let the car warm up first? you know you have to have three bars on the temp gauge before you can rev it out all the way.

Actually I didn't let it warm up, could that be whats causing it to do that? I just hopped in started it and took off. I guess the weather here in florida has been alittle cooler but this has never happened before..

well if you dont have three bars on the temp gauge, the car won't let you rev past 6k or 7k (can't remember where exactly the cutoff is).

If you're all the way into the gas pedal and around 6k or 7k it almost feels like you hit a brick wall (and you don't have three bars on the temp gauge), then you probably just need to let her warm up.

There's a fuel cutoff around VTEC if you don't have three bars on the temperature gauge...

I think that might be the problem. Thanks, I'll try letting it warm up first and try it again.
