Removing the buzzer was the first mod I did to my car [not an S2000]. It was a sick sounding "screeeeeeee...eee...." from the 15 year old car. Took a panel off just behind the driver's seat and saw a black box with "B U Z Z E R" on it. Threw it out and never looked back.

Buzzers must die...

You can get rid of the chime.
Remove the ECU reset fuse, just like how you do when you want to reset ECU.
I believe the fuse is 3rd down(3rd slot) from the left row.
Remove it and no more sound.

No harm in driving without the fuse even on extended long time.
You will not see your usual key logo flashing to let you know about the immobilizer being active but rest assured you are still protected.

When I was messing with the Yellow Box, I drove around a bit without the BACK UP fuse and the idle was rough and difficult to maintain.

some of you guys are soooo funny, remove the key...sorry i cannot comprehend how to do this from a diagram of wiring....i was looking for someone who has tired of the chimes and removed the noise by pulling a fuse or disconnecting a wire or something like that...simple...so that this mod does not change anything else. i guess i will have to keep searching.

Sorry you couldn't tell from the diagram but it's about the only way that I know of to show you where the beeper is at. It appears that it is IN the gauge cluster.

I wouldn't go under, I'd go in. Remove the gauge cluster and try to locate it.

You know who may have a better idea is DJ Qube since he's doing the blue dash project. You may want to shoot him a PM, I know he's had the clusters apart.
