how to replace shift knobs

Default how to replace shift knobs

how do u replace the shift knob from the 03 oem to the titanium i sound like an idiot but i try to wrench it off but it wont budge

Look under the know there is the counter nut. Turn it clockwise to loosen it's pressure grip on the knob, then give the knob a nice hard lefty loosy(counterclockwise) and it should come off. Then screw on the titanium righty tighty. once you have it on and lined up, tighten the counter nut again to keep it in place. If that doesn't make sense you can get the instructions from h & A accessories' website.

be sure to use and open-end wrench on the lock nut or something similar. if you use anything with teeth you WILL mar the dark finish of the nut and it WILL look like duty!

First time I tried to take it off, I tried turning the nut counter-clockwise, and it didn't budge, but clockwise worked. And to think counter-clockwise should've been the standard for screwing things off.

i figured it out there was some rust so i put a bit lube in it thanks anyways
