Default How to spot a copy or original CF hood

Hey guys, what's the difference between the J's racing carbon fiber hood and a knock off? Besides the quality and price, I'm looking for specific differences so I can tell if this hood in front of me is the real deal or a knock off. Any badges or anything?

Thanks,

Mike

yeah there should be a badge, saying J's racing somewhere on the under side of the hood, replicas dont have the badge

The authentic J's has a 1x1 pattern. All fakes have a 2x2 pattern. What this means is that the authentic J's has an EXTREMELY tight and small weave. Another way you can differentiate the two is that the authentic J's has the grill colored black, while the fake is silver looking (the owner can change the color though).

BTW, there are no badges ... I don't know where that came from

I have had both of the J's hoods and there is no badges under the hood ... the J's has one complete molded underside as the knockoff does not
