Default How to stop the beeping that the door is open

It is driving me nuts! Is there a method to stop this beeping from happening?

Lucky it doesn't talk like my uncle's old Buick..."The door is ajar...the door is ajar..."

yes, remove the key and put it in your pocket.

hahaha. just curious so don't be offended, but why would you want to do that. i have been preoccupied gathering my things before i get out of the car when i open the door, that beeping sound has saved me from leaving the keys in the car many times. what are you possibly doing that that noise would be on so long that it would become an annoyance.

I've wished many times to be able to shut off the beep. If I'm out in the driveway detailing the car, I may need the driver's door open for some time; and it would be nice to listen to the stereo without the beeping.

I don't want the windows down because it leaves streaks...so I'll open the door.

I don't think it's a stupid question.
