How to stop the beeping that the door is open
i fixed this right away re some advice from someone here...as i remember it....take off column housing, there is a top and bottom and they have phillips screws holding them in, that is the pieces between the dash adn the wheel.
once off the key is exposed and there are a couple of small wires plugged into the key assembly in the back. the small one, as i remember it a white wire assemble, unplug. now test for the beep. if that don't work try any other ones, not a major plub, but a small plug. tape off plug, assemble column.
the key is still sensed when the door is open, the green key light blinks a couple of times, no beeper. the light's on with door open still works as well.
all i know is that this worked and i have had the car this way for over 2 years with no issues or cel's . you can always put it back if you don't like it as there is no cutting of wires this way.
