Ok, so I don't have tiny hands, and I can't fit my new (Fiamm) air horn kit without taking off the front bumper.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the front bumper please? What screws do I remove and where are they?

How long should it take? Do I have to remove my front lip spoiler too, or can I leave it on and remove the whole bumper unit?

Are there any issues with re-aligning the bumper when refitting it?

Thanks,

Sime

Invest in a Helms Manual - well worth the $60.

I've got the new faq from Josh/CoralDoc, but haven't implimented it on S2ki.com which shows how to do that and how to mount them properly. currently if you mount them like CoralDoc did on s2ki.com, then you'll get them wet, they need to point downwards. I'll throw you an email in a few with his instructions.

but hey, I'll be back in Austin tomorrow and will have sometime to do the faq updating!

okay sent!

ok i juss took mine off to install the grille... yah yah i kno you dont have to do that but i wanted the fasteners to be on the inside...

1 start with the set of screws right in front of the radiator. this will remove the rubbler seal and conceal the nuts that are located near the edge of each head light, remove those bolts as well.

2 Begin to remove the bolts under the actual bumper and if you have a lip you gonna have to take that off first.

3. Locate the screw in each of the fender wells near the top and remove it

4. Finally begin to tug at the bumper it will be tight. notice that the buper is held tightly by the clips under the headlights.

5. good luck! putting it back is a breeze the only hard thing is getting it back to fit just like b4!

Hope my generic overview helps...

Mike

Helpful hint for reinstalling: make sure that the edge of the fender liner is tucked inside the edge of the bumper just forward of the tire. It will allow the bumper to "grab" the hooks easier.

Thanks all for your very helpful posts. I managed to do everything all by myself including wiring the job up (with a separate power line to the battery and relay).

Just remember to install the foam bumper reinforcement the right way up! It gave me lots of grief trying to reinstall the bumper until I realized what was up!!

The horns work great and I am VERY happy with them!! Much, much, MUCH better improvement over the pissy stock unit. Man, I've heard louder stock horns on those kids 'quarter rides' outside the supermarkets!!!

Cheers all,
