One piece of simple advice for when you do test your limits... and follow this like a Biblical commandment or else.....

When you come to a curve, SLOW IN, HARD OUT. And I mean SLOW in. The real danger in this car is when you hit a corner too hard and start slamming your brakes and end up spinning out or hitting a tree or another car. It takes great skill to stay off those brakes and drift through a hot corner. So, when on the street, remember,

Slow into the corner, fast off. This will save your ass and still allow you to have some fun at places like the Dragon on weekend runs...

^^^^What he said.

Things can get very bad very fast if you don't push the limits in the right places. Never get over confident.

Bottom line, the street is no place to test your limits or the cars, it is the place to stay under those limits. As for finding them, autocross is accessible and affordable, fun and safe. The trickiest thing I have found in this car (and I expect this is normal) is corner entry. Holding the line and getting back on the throttle isn't too difficult if you have an ounce of sensibility. That whole braking-turning at the limit process however is a b*tch and I think it is one thing that really separates the great drivers from the not so great. This car likes to swap ends if you get jerky with it so until you get a feel for it you might want to stick to braking hard and straight. Also watch the long sweeping corners as throttle lift or VTEC engagement mid corner will send you spinning at very high speeds. Like I said, autocross and enjoy.

I'll echo everything everyone else said, except if you go into a corner too fast the car will understeer you will know it's too fast, as long as you don't do something stupid mid corner like braking or lifting it shouldn't swap ends (save for non theoretical perfect pavement etc).

But try auto-x

http://s2ki.iroque.com/wing/54199.wmv watch at the end of this video, last corner, I went in too hot, look what happens, understeer CITY!

You won't know the absolute limit of the car until you've gone past it. I've been driving the car for 3 years and still haven't done that (though I've come close a couple of times).
