How to trailer/tow an S2000
I probably won't be able to do this for 25 years judging by how long it is taking for my car to be finished...BUT when it is finished, I will need to get it to the dyno either towing it or putting it ona trailer. I have towed my car once with the body kit and coilovers and it was a nightmare of bottoming out etc. How do y'all get your car from one place to another when it can't drive by itself? Thanks,
Jonathan

I forget who makes them but maybe someone will post the name. We run a lot of S.C.C.A. and I have straps on my trailer that go over each of the tires seperatly and latch to the bed of the trailer. Super fast and easy. Just a little minor mods to the trailer and your off and runnin.
I'm moving back to the SF Bay Area from LA in a month and reserved a U-Haul car trailer to put the 2003 S2000 on. If you try to rent the trailer from the U-Haul site, it'll tell you you can't put the car on the trailer, and refuses to rent it to you.
I took the car to the U-Haul place and had an employee pull out a trailer. We checked the car against the ramp angle, etc. Looks a little hairy in the front (the rear looked like no problem). The employee told me a lowered Mini high-centered on one of their trailers, but they got it over the lip and on OK
. I figure I'll bring a pile of 2 x4s and cardboard and pray for the best. My car is stock height and has an bolt-on anti-scuff lip under the front bumper lip. Has anybody used a stock U-Haul drive-on car trailer with their S2000? I'd appreciate any tips or cautions to avoid messing up a great car.

Thanks for the info and photos of the trailer. It looks like the U-Haul is very similar. The U-Haul place wants me to bring the car to them. I'd rather take it to my place and load it there. I was thinking if I don't have long boards, I can put the ramps up on a grassy area near my place (it's about 8-10" higher than the street, but has a flat area I can easily drive onto from the street) to get the same effect. Thanks again. I was dreading having to come back to LA to drive the S2K back to San Francisco. Much rather trailer her up there.
I used a regular car hauler to haul my car from Nevada to Minnesota and the biggest problem was the doors wouldn't clear the fenders, making it interesting setting the parking break then locking everthing up. Trailer Mods will be coming!
