Hey preppy, I also have the factory alarm option installed, how did this make a difference in the wiring?
Can I just take the harness off, cut the 2 wires and be done with it? Or was there something extra?

I have done this mod, I too could not pull the wires from the harness, so I ended up cutting them. Ironically I still reach over to unlock the passenger door, although I do use the remote to unlock the trunk. Very handy, especially if the glove door is locked.
