Going to do this today. For those of you that pulled them out, how did you get the wires to come loose from the plug?

Hey preppy, I also have the factory alarm option installed, how did this make a difference in the wiring?
Can I just take the harness off, cut the 2 wires and be done with it? Or was there something extra?

 

I have done this mod, I too could not pull the wires from the harness, so I ended up cutting them. Ironically I still reach over to unlock the passenger door, although I do use the remote to unlock the trunk. Very handy, especially if the glove door is locked.

has anyone confirmed this on a newer model? I really need to do this so I can use my fob when the TT is counting down...

 

I love threads that come back from the dead, especially useful ones. I will be trying this on my 07 I will let you know if it works

 

Anyone do this with an aftermarket alarm like the Viper?
