In lower rpms it does not give you that feeling. The main way to really get that "pushed back in the seat" feeling, if thats your thing, is to rev into vtec and hold steady around 6000 rpms and punch the gas, it will then truly rocket foward pretty good. But if you just gradually increase the speed through the gears, the lack of torque is deceptive and you don't feel like you're going as fast as you are.

Oh and ya the top down helps

In my '00 S2K, I love rolling at around 45-50mph, then dropping it down to 2nd really fast to hit VTEC till I hit the 9000rpm redline. I take off like a rocket! I beat a Subaru Sti, M3 and GT mustang like that....at a 45mph roll. VERY FUN! When other cars have to shift and wonder why we arent shifting yet with them, is when our cars come into play! hehehe. Gotta love that 9000rpm redline baby!

Owned an 02 Civic Type R before the S and the VTEC point on the Civic was much more noticeable and 'dramatic' than the S. The S is smoother and defo less dramatic in that respect, but overall a much more fun car to drive!

So again, you will not get that thrown back in your seat feeling.

With the S2 I like the feeling that you know the power and surge is coming.........its kind of the expectation as you accelerate that all hell is about to break loose when u hit 6,000 rpm.
Holy sh!t, that was funny!

what about an s2k with 4.57 or 4.77 gears? will that give you the "pushed in your seat" feeling?

What if you had a rather large female sit on your lap while driving? Would you get the "pushed back in your seat" feeling from that?
