How will an aftermarket clutch feel?
What about noise with the aftermarket clutch? I have an AP1 and the clutch buzz from the stock clutch drives me crazy. I realize the stock clutch buzz is not a performance or wear problem, but I am contemplating updating it. Will an aftermarket, performance-oriented clutch have similar issues?
I have a competition clutch.
The pedal feel is great. Just about stock pressure, with a little more spring back. Initial depression of the pedal is just like stock tho.
The clutch grabs hard, and I love it. I went balls out with the clutch and went 4 puck sprung disc with flywheel. I like it, but my threshold for this kinda stuff might by higher than yours.
and yes, clutch buzz is there.
The question you should ask yourself is:
What are my plans for the car (engine wise; n/a, boost etc)
Am I going to track the car (drag, scca, street)
From there you'll be able to decide on what's the best fit for you.
