Who cares? If you still like your S, keep driving it. Since when do you care what others think?

when 2007 comes, new GTR is out, new M3 is out, and even now, the new Z06..
all those cars has well over 400 horsepower
And all these cars are almost double the cost of the very efficient Honda S2000. This is like comparing apples to oranges

and what if we want to fight against those monsters? is there a chance?
Why would anyone in their right mind wanna do something stupid like that

I think it may be disrespectful to get in the way of a faster car, providing the driver behind the wheel of a potentially faster car is competent.

just today, i saw 2 pieces of news that bugged me: porsche says they make the highest hp output per liter in the world (115). they obviously forgot about the s2000.
Well Porsche is right. Currently the S2000 only makes 109 hp per a liter, closer to 108 with the new 237hp rating. Honda once made a car that topped that, but they no longer do.

2007 is the Chinese year of the Pig and the Japanese year of gears and BRP blowers.

I agree with the comment that people still ask "what kind of car is it" all the time. The S2K is rare enough that it still turns heads. It's a sports car in most people's eyes, and 98% of the people out there can't rattle off stats like 0-60 times and hp/liter output. Of course faster cars will be made... they always have been and always will be. That certainly doesn't make the S2K any less of a good car though. And for the price, it's really hard to beat.

Be happy with your car man.

Once my warranty is out i will put an ls7 in the engine bay, i am surprised it hasn't been done yet.

I have no problem with there being faster cars on the road, i live in west LA where there are more ferraris, porsche's and lambo's than almost anywhere else in the USA. You simply cannot compare an s2k out here, you cannot keep up with the family next door. I plan on keeping he s2k for many years and having it as a second car.

One reason i chose the s2k over cars like the g35 and 350z was that it is unique and rare compared to those previously listed. I see 100 porsche's a day, turbo's etc, but nobody blinks an eye, yet when they see my s2k, they stare. Why? Because it is a stick and most people do not want to drive one here in the traffic.

Having a nice car doesn't matter, having a rare and unique one for me does! The fact that i think it is drop dead gorgeous and a true roadster helps too !

But to answer your question - in 2007 our car will get its ass kicked on a daily basis in stock form. Why try to keep up with other cars spending $5-10k just to do so. What a waste of money if that's your sole purpose for modifying it. Save the 10k and put it towards a z06 (which is what i intend on doing in 5 years).
