Next one coming soon - probably new, probably cash or loan to be paid off shortly. (One advantage of being an "older" s2000 owner!)

 

New, never drove one.

Sent out fax/email request for quotes with area dealers.

Everybody wanted MSRP, went with soonest one coming in with the color I wanted.

Negotiated fair trade in 5 minutes over the phone, put $500 deposit on the car with credit card.

Picked it up maybe 3 weeks later.

7 year loan, 6.9% for an inital low payment. Will probably pay it off after about a year.

 

New. Cash.

No trade - took no more than 2 hours from the minute I stepped into the dealer, took a test drive, wrote the check and rolled out!

 

New (77 mi ) $5k down. Financed the rest at 3.99% for 60 months, but it's simple interest and I'm kicking in a little extra to shorten the term.

 

New (10 miles, watched it come off the truck, peeled the plastic myself) 10500 cash, the rest home equity.

 

New, 14 miles, financed

 

Certified Used (14k miles), leased 36 months

If an upgraded S materializes, I'll upgrade to the new in '06; if Honda decides to discontinue the model, I'll buy my current one and drive it 'till I'm too old and frail to get in it - later, I can use it for a casket! Who says you can't take it with you?!
