Default How'd they steal my wheel?

I parked my car in the street at my g/f's house. When I came out in the morning, my right rear wheel was gone. I have mcGard wheel locks on the wheels. The thief was kind enough to leave a jack behind rather than putting the car on the ground. I figured that they used Vise-Grips, but the wheel lock didn't have a mark on it. Any ideas on how they got the lock off?

well whatever they did, it took them long enough on the one they did get to realize what a PITA it was gonna be and they bolted (pardon the pun) after they only got one wheel.

Gator grip, or maybe they had the key. Not sure how many different styles of locks have been put out for that lock.

Who steals S2000 wheels? My buddy told me it doesn't fit on other Civic's or Integra's because of the size and offset. Maybe he just wants to sell the rim?

You can get wheel locks off with almost any large socket. When my wife bought her eclipse we didn't realize the wheels had locks on them until.....her tire blew out. My friend suggested a large socket to take it off. I got one that fit just right and I was able to get it off. Very easily I may add.

I had a bitch of a time getting mine off and just had Honda use their universal key at the dealership. Total cost was 4 coffees and a box of Timbits. (donut holes for the non-Tim Hortons aware)

Anyone who works at a dealer has access to McGuard universals.

With the lugs torqued to a mere 80ft lbs, I'm not surprised.

I miss Timmy's. I used to work International Sales Canada for a company and frequently traveled there for business. Oh my, everything is hands down better than Starbucks.

This is why I don't like that style of wheel locks... on my old M3, I had BMW wheel locks--they were a solid metal cap that fit over the head of the bolt on the wheel, and that cap could spin freely. You needed an actual key to remove the cap to get to the bolt.
