so i talked to the guy from hp performance again. he sent me a few pictures of the turbo header setup. looks different but pretty cool...

he says that it's a tuned length header and with the turbo being further away from the exhaust manifold it still has no affects on turbo spool or lag. i guess that makes sense since there are rear mounted turbo kits too...but let me know what you think... here's the pictures.
