Default HT defroster ?

I wanna buy a HT.

A local has one but is for the later My00 I have the earlier MY00. From what HT guy tells me. I can use that kit, install it and all, but will not be able to use the defroster.

Is there a way that I can rig it to be able to use the defroster ??

Please help. I don't want the seller to get rid of the top. Cause he's a local and it the same color as my car ~!!!!!!!!!

My friend has a hardtop on his MY01 and uses the defroster. There is a kit, and you will be able to use it.

Ok, you have a MY00, as memory serves me you should be able to get the MY00 kit that allows you to use the defroster. Your car does not have the switch on the dash so the kit includes wiring, an electrical switch that goes into that little pocket in the center console back from the cup holder, and it includes the male plug that mounts behind the driver's seat.

way to jack my thread

Triple H,

Yes I need to get the older MY00 vin HT install kit. to have the defroster. but the sell has a Higher vin MY00. so it will not work.

The only thing that works, is the install of the HT itself. No drfroster. I don't want to buy a new install kit since the only thing I would need is the defroster option. From what Honda say's you can't just buy the defroster switches and wires you need the whole thing

I wanted to know if there is something that you guys think I can fab up so that it will work.

Woodson,

Probally not but I would like to know that I can use it Plus its been cold lately, reaching the low 40's to high 30's
