Default HVAC controls not working

That thread about what seating position people use, caused me to search for a more comfortable position (didn't find it). While adjusting my seat, I bumped my knees on the dash. Now twice in the past 2 days when I turn the car on the whole right side of the dash doesn't work and doesn't light up (the rear window defroster and HVAC controls). I banged on the dash a little and it came back, so I guess I have a loose connection. Can I trust the dealer to fix this without scratching my dash? Anyone else had this happen to them?

Well, after finding a bunch of threads on this same issue and no answers, I PM'd everyone who started a thread on this. No one was ever able to figure it out.

I replaced my battery a week ago and it hasn't done it since. The battery was really weak. I guess that kinda makes sense since it happened mostly at startup, but it would occasionally happen while I was driving.

I will update this thread if it does come back and that wasn't the issue.
