I've had an AEM CAI on 3 of my cars now, with a combined total of over 70,000 km, and never once had an issue. This includes driving in minus 40 degree weather, snow, ice, slush, rain, etc...

The only filter I even had to clean was the one on the S2000, and it still wasn't that bad when I cleaned it after 25,000 km.

come on, guys, the intakes don't make that much power. My 04 s2000 made 218 rwhp with the intake, the dyno charts are linked above. I think that it's pretty obvious that my 04 is making more power than most of the 00-03.

Yeah I talked to xviper about it, we're both right actually... The filter still has to be 100% "wet" before this will really happen...

Thread-hijacking at its finest -

Back on topic, though - I got my gf a 2002 330i, and it's a fabulous car. It handles great, has gobs of torque, and is a blast to drive. Keep it as a daily, drop the jeep like a fat girlfriend in a Geo, and get the S2k.
