True but it is also one of the options thats is a pain to revert to stock due to swapping over a bunch of sensors. There are also states where Kpro has been having issues passing from what I have read so its not as attractive of an option any more. Still for the price he paid for the car he got a good deal especially if the compression comes back fine.

It sounds like the seller was 100% honest with you and that you did not ask the right questions. It is what it is. Make the best of it.
I just re-read your post. If you asked him whether it was previously modified and he did not disclose all these prior mods then that is a problem.

I'm with the OP, I don't think the seller was honest in answering the question about previous modifications. Here's what I found from the s2ki about the previous modifications that were supposed to be intake, catback and KPro. I don't think many would agree these were merely just "intake, catback and kpro"

TurboSmart Waste gate Actuator.
TurboSmart Recirculation Valve.
Borg Warner EFR7670 .92A/R IWG Turbo.

Mishimoto AP1 Radiator.
Mishimoto Slim Fan shroud Kit.
Knight S2000 Coolant Overflow/Reservoir.
AlloyCraft Heater Core hose Relocation.

To me sounds like you got a clean, low mileage badass S2K with awesome mods for a good price. What's the issue.

The mods did not come with the car, just the kpro. The whole point of this thread is to seek advice and opinions on whether this car could be reliable in the long run and what to be in the lookout for.

honestly like 10 other people said, get a compression test and a leak down test, and since you seem to be a bit of hypochondriac, an oil analysis.

If you still have 230+ PSI across all 4 cylinders, 5-10% leakdown per cylinder, and little metal (from bearings and such) in your oil analysis your engine is effectively factory new

Here is a site for interpreting compression and leakdown: https://robrobinette.com/S2000Compression.htm

Most people don't want a car someone else has modified. When I bought mine I specifically looked for one that had not. The only mods mine had were a stereo and a set of AP2 wheels in addition to the AP1 wheels it came with from Honda. I get dude's frustration.
