Default I feel so bad for my dear S

today i drove my car, and it was cold. And I was playing with my friends. So I opened the top when the car was stopped. Then I heard something cracked. When I closed the top, I saw the rear plastic window got a big crack. What should I do now? I just looked on ebay, They sell the whole convertible and the rear window together for about 500 bucks (the plastic convert to the glass one) and 375 for the convertible and the plastic window. But I am afraid it wont exactly fit like original. Is there any other idea?

You can get the OEM Honda top from Honda for around 750 I think and install it yourself. THere was a really good write up on here recently of replacing a top.

I have heard that the plastic window tops are not to be used under 50 degrees.

i don't think the oem hardtop is that cheap, more like $2-3k. if any honda dealerships around my area (socal) sell it for under $1k, i'll buy it in a heartbeat!

Go to an upholstry shop that the dealership sends their cars to. They will have an OEM option or another option (different material). Either one will be fine. The cloth option they have is actually better than the OEM but its more expensive.

Its not that hard to install, about a days work if you've never replaced a top before.

The tops on eBay are probably Robbins tops. Many '00-01 owners have updated to glass tops using a Robbins. Those that I have seen are excellent quality and their owners did not seem to have a problem with the installation and converstion. Many have installed it themselves...however, it is a very time consuming process (look in the Under the Hood forum FAQ for detailed instructions).

Robbins tops can also be purchased from CabrioWorld:

It wasn't a stingray, it was a '66 427 Shelby Cobra certified by Carrol who was there.
