Just picked up a used '01 s2k and I'm loving every minute of it. Too bad its rained EVERY DAY since I picked it up, but that was to be expected (Murphy's Law). I've wanted one of these since they came out but finally was able to convince myself that I can handle an expensive car and not be paranoid about it every second of the day.

Anyways, here's some things I've noticed:
it's really not that loud with the top up or down, but it sounds really good. Only a little louder than my old Integra.
plastic rear window is not bad at all.
theres tons of headroom and I'm 6'1.
everyone stares you down in this car, sometimes not even paying attention to what they're doing while they stare. Well, almost everyone. I notice all the riced out eclipse and civic drivers won't look over.
3.5k-2.5k decel grind is annoying, but fixable.
whenever I shift 5-6 or 4-6 Im worried about putting it in reverse, even though I know its impossible.
Gas mileage has been decent so far.
top leaks a little on passenger side. Probably fixable.

So basically I'm really glad I got this instead of a 350z, especially when a year from now they'll be 45,000 of them on the street.

Congrats on your new baby enjoy!!! This car is very addicting. Even if you have another car .... this car calls you as you are walking by it "drive me, drive me". the more you drive it ...the more you will wan't to drive it. Enjoy!
