Keep in mind that if you do a repaint in a different colour you ahve two choices: either strip the car and do it all (under carpet, in engine bay, underneath) or do a ghetto job.

Silvestone is a hard colour to match. But then so are all the others. You honestly think Spa is easy?

I have some minor damage to my car and because the first painters stuffed it up so much (like 5 times) eventually the car got a back to metal respray. Looks freaking awesome!

I've noticed that the 00 and 01 Silverstone is a shade darker than the 03 and 04 Silverstone. Your painter might be getting the newer paint code, if they are different...

If your idea of ghetto, is not pulling carpet to paint a car, then 90% of all color changes are ghetto. I had a civic hatch the blue one I posted a pic of above... I pulled every wire, nut, bolt and everything out of that car to get it sprayed that color.. and still didn't paint my floor pan area up front... unless your some off the wall crazy show car.. who really cares about whats under the carpet. and underneath?? Underneath a car is usually some sort of tar or etc more so than painted.

You also don't have to strip a car to paint it. I've worked for a body shop before and etc, I understand the basics of it all.

I'm not looking to build a show car, and honestly, I'm not going to the work of pulling my motor just for a small section of the engine bay which you can see like the strut towers to be an exact match to the BMW color. I'm sticking to some type of grey or silver for the fact that I don't want it to stick out like sore thumb but trunk jams, door jams, and exterior with it cut in as far as possible without pulling the motor will be what I do.

it's terrible, silverstone 04 is totally different from silverstone on the 03... when I first got my car, it looked green next to MeCCAJm's car!

yep this pretty much has settled my decision..... It might not be anytime real soon but the car will get a complete color change before anything else gets done to it.
