Well now I won't get mad if anybody calls mine a Miata. In the Fayetteville NC area I have not seen any S2000s in the three weeks since I got mine but I see at least two Miatas every day. One of them today had the top down and I had MY top UP ... embarrassment city.
But I DID get the OTHER word we hate today. A longtime female friend finally got to see my S2K and ride around the mall parking lot with me. She had never seen anything like it and even though I had told her before she saw it that it was NOT a convertible Accord (?!?), she didn't quite understand what it was without meeting it in person. But no matter how much I tried to explain how it's totally different from any other Honda, a true sports car by the hardcore for the hardcore, and has lots of power and speed and great handling, all she could say was:
"it's so CUTE!!!"
about 20 times.
Oh well, I know what she REALLY meant was, "it's such a great cool race car!"

Ya i get pretty ticked when someone calls it a miata. I rarely drive it and i've heard it at least 10 times. I tell them no it's a honda 2000. Oh is it rare? lol a friend of mine saw it and said he'd never seen something like that before idk where he's been the past 6 years..they're rare but they're not that rare as in nsx wise.
