I can't recall anyone mistaking my car for a Miata. Likewise, I would not be offended. A lot of the autocross guys here in Miami, give it alot of praise. Although living in Miami, the cultural melting pot, its "regularly" mistaking fot the NEW Tiburon..

This morning was the third instance since ownership, while fueling a very nice gentleman inquired and commented, its looks great for a 19K sportscar. I see no resemblance..

By the way, the Miata with the S2K motor must ride awesome! A local member here is planning the same setup, I gotta get a ride!

I was pulling into the parking lot of my doctors office and after I parked and was walking away from my S I had a guy who had a brand new Miata ask me if it was really a honda, I told him yes it was an S2000. He had never seen one before and after talking about specs on the two cars for a little while I left him not liking his Miata so much.

What if you had a car that handled like a miata with the power of an S2000.. and weighed roughly 600lbs less? Here's my miata... Im pretty happy how it turned out.

Doesn't matter ... bottom line is, it is what it is. People could call my car an Enzo, and it'd still be an S2000.

[QUOTE=RED MX5,Jul 23 2006, 12:09 PM]I had one female (picture below) use much more "adult language" to express her passion for the car.

It would embarass me to repeat it, but I will say that she made it very clear that the car turned her on. The car seems to attract lots of attractive young females; All types. Being married I miss out on the primary potential benefit, but I still enjoy it.

My coworkers like to tease me about my s2000. They constantly call it a "miata with a body kit." Those bastards! Of course, its all in good fun. I should have NEVER told them about how some people REALLY think its a miata
