After driving AP1 and AP2, I settled on my 2004. More low end torque for daily driving, plus IMO I think the revised headlights, taillights, and bigger wheels look better. In the end, do what makes you happy! Even if you have to turn both down, there's an S out there somewhere with your name on it. Good luck!

I'd definitely get the 05. The mile different between the 2 is not that much so you might as well get the newer car for the money. If owning an ap1 or ap2 doesnt matter much to you i would go for the 05 for sure.

AP1 rims weigh less than the AP2 v1's...
Actually AP2's 17"s are lighter and the S2000 definitely benefited from larger wheel and lower profile tires.

Fast forward to 8:30

Gearing and more low end torque helps in traffic. VTEC means nothing in traffic unless you drive like a complete D-bag!
I said revised VTEC - Honda freed up hp below VTEC in the F22C so you actually have power sooner - I guess I should have said revised power band.

Honda basically improved the whole power band so the car won't feel so gutless below 6k. The reason you don't feel VTEC "kick" as much in an F22C is because you have more power before you get to the transition.

Silverstone is the most common color, Sebring Silver is not.
You have a point - Silverstone is much more rare than Sebring. I hadn't bothered separating the two though...

I researched the hell out of both the AP1 and AP2 and in the end went with an 05 AP2. If you drive on the street a lot, you'd appreciate the low end torque more. How often you're going to be in VTEC should help decide. If you live high end, then the AP1 would be the better choice me thinks but if you drive "normal" most of the time, then the lower end power would be beneficial.

Either way, you're getting a sick ass ride. Enjoy!

If i were you i'd get an AP2 but not the 71k miles one.. i'd wait for the perfect one.. I drive an AP1 but honestly i think an AP2 is more liveable for everyday use.

get ap2 for sure. the interior upgrades alone is worth the difference

i agree w/ others on the wheels. he went aftermarket rims and simply put it back the way it was using cheapest stock wheels - ap1
