AP2 is the better car, Honda just kept on refining perfection over the years.
F22C1 is the better engine IMO, alot of great changes were made. Plus better powerband below VTEC is awesome.

Well, I have test driven 4 different s2000's.
2001 with 53k miles
2003 with 24k miles
2007 with 18k miles
2009 with 11k miles
Mileage and condition make a huge difference. The higher mileage AP1 felt pretty rough, but the 2003 was a one owner that took really good care of it. Between the two, the 2003 felt tight as a drum, almost like new.
I guess my advice is to go with one with the lowest miles and best condition.
