I'm going to have to agree with most people. I have the Muz bar. It does provide protection and it doesn't get in the way for oil changes.

I do feel however that it does make the car a little more sturdy over bumps and such. I don't think the car corners any better but I haven't really pushed it since the bar was installed nor has the car seen HPDE time. I am confident the bar will make $170 worth of difference on the track as anything that will help stiffen your car will help you there. I could be wrong.

Would I spend $300 on some of the other bars? Absolutely not. I think the bar is a good solid mod for those who drive their cars on roads with less than perfect pavement. And the muz bar provides a solid piece for a good cost. As long as you don't think this sub $200 mod is going to make you a better driver or make your car into something it's not, you'll be more than happy with it.

I'm with lig, I've never noticed even the slightest bit of difference with the X brace on my MY04. It does provide some protection for my oil pan and Fumoto valve though, so I don't mind having spent the money.

That protection may hurt you during an accident, by possibly preventing the engine from moving downwards and instead towards you in a frontal collision. If you feel no difference I'd take it off.

its been demonstrated that the xbrace doesn't prevent the engine from getting out of the way in a headon. search through all the xbrace commentary on this site from 2 years ago. The improvement is subtle and seems to help most with fast driving on rough / bumpy roads. I felt a definite improvement under those conditions. Mine doesn't get in the way of oil changes.

The people who don't notice a difference don't have the right X-Brace.

Perhaps, but I doubt it. I have the Di Grappa X brace and I noticed no changes with it. I subsequently installed a Comptech STB, solely for the bling factor, in addition to the brace and found no difference with it either. The S2000 has the stiffest frame of any car or truck that I've ever driven (I've driven a bunch and built a few myself), and I don't see how a simple bolt-on part like an X brace or STB is going to provide a significant improvement unless the frame has been loosened up by high mileage and/or hard use.

Braces do NOTHING for our cars honestly. I have the cusco 3 peice + spoon lower rear tie + the cusco "x" brace + spoon stb and I honestly dont think any of it made a difference.

^You're running Tein coilovers right? Well, those mods aren't going to make that much of difference then.

You need tighter stuff - like sway bars.
