I installed X-brace
I'm going to have to agree with most people. I have the Muz bar. It does provide protection and it doesn't get in the way for oil changes.
I do feel however that it does make the car a little more sturdy over bumps and such. I don't think the car corners any better but I haven't really pushed it since the bar was installed nor has the car seen HPDE time. I am confident the bar will make $170 worth of difference on the track as anything that will help stiffen your car will help you there. I could be wrong.
Would I spend $300 on some of the other bars? Absolutely not. I think the bar is a good solid mod for those who drive their cars on roads with less than perfect pavement. And the muz bar provides a solid piece for a good cost. As long as you don't think this sub $200 mod is going to make you a better driver or make your car into something it's not, you'll be more than happy with it.

I'm with lig, I've never noticed even the slightest bit of difference with the X brace on my MY04. It does provide some protection for my oil pan and Fumoto valve though, so I don't mind having spent the money.

its been demonstrated that the xbrace doesn't prevent the engine from getting out of the way in a headon. search through all the xbrace commentary on this site from 2 years ago. The improvement is subtle and seems to help most with fast driving on rough / bumpy roads. I felt a definite improvement under those conditions. Mine doesn't get in the way of oil changes.
i live in a area with some very bad roads (Dallas, TX) and am looking to buy a x-brace that is cheap and wont get in the way of oil changes. could someone tell me what a good one is and where to get it at.
THANKS.
THANKS.

The people who don't notice a difference don't have the right X-Brace.
