Yes, I am game! I have taken the console cover off more than a few times and I think that has taken its toll on the armrest. I would love to have something else to cover that. I can be your prototype tester!

And my beloved Scarlet is out from under the snow bank. When I took those shots, I removed all of the snow from around her and on top and everything just after I took the pics. The only thing is that I park at the end of a 100+ yard long alley and there is no way in hell I would drive her down there with as much snow that is still there. So until the either the snow melts or I can flatbed her out, she's staying put. And I don't want her to get salt and road crap all over her...I have begun the search for storage/garage space for her tho. I will identify that this week.

The mats? That's a secret...! But along with your console cover, they are an essential mod. And for those who don't know, they are from my friends at MG Racing. I have heard rumors of another GB on them soon...stay tuned.

And let me know your plans for the armrest cover. How are you going to approach that? I actually would like to have it in plain unperforated leather. Can we work something out on that?

Greg,

We can do it one of two ways. I took the arm rest section off a spare console assembly I had bought and sent it up to Townsend for some experimentation with this mod. As soon as some new black perforated leather comes in (not until after the New Year), they should be ready to send it back. I can send it on to you and you can take the armrest section off yours and relace it with the new one.

I posted a message on this a while back on H-A.net, but I think I still have the photos. It's not hard to do, but requires taking off some more of those plastic melt-over tabs and replacing them with screws when you put the thing back together.

The second option, since I have yet another complete spare console assembly, would be for me to put the arm rest on that one and send you the whole assembly with the new arm rest.

Let's see what happens at Townsend after the first when they're open again.

Sounds like a plan!

Thanks!
