I Must Be Deaming!
My driver is the only one I have to take out of the bag and put in seperately. My 3 wood is fine.
As for a friend of mine with his Miata, he just buckles his supersized pro-style bag into the passenger seat.

>>>You said your Miata was under 1 foot of water....? That seems like hardly anything at all... I'm sure with just changing out some fluids, replacing the interior carpeting, and maybe the seats, it would be fine.... I'm amazed they totaled it, since it was a late-model car.<<<
rickycrx, the problem is corrosion sets in after time and, invariably, a host of wiring problems arise. That's what the insurance field rep said, anyway.
I could've kept it and paid 3k, but didn't want to deal with the hassle. It should be up on Copart.com for auction in the coming weeks. Good luck to the winning bidder?

Should I run and out get a lockable car cover? Is this a deterrence to the thieves?

Well, when I got my S, I was in the same position as you, I only had a carport for protection, and the car is my daily driver as well.
From my thoughts, I would not pay the $$ for a lockable car cover. If the crooks want to get into the car that bad, a canvas/vynal cover is not going to stop them. I invested in a alarm for my car, and that gave me a little more peace of mind when parking the car in my apartment complex. If you are in a decent apartment complex in a good neighborhood, then hopefully your car will be okay. IF you are concerned about the neighborhood or the people in the complex, then I would look into getting a garage at the complex, if one is available, and your budget permits it.
enjoy your car!
(don't you feel special, Jason!)

Now, like psyco said, watch out for oink-oinks...
The best thing is that you don't even have to wait for break-in!!
Oh, hey, watch out for those S02 tires... At this mileage (mine is the same) they're starting to get a little bit worn... Take care of your new baby!

Ahh the memories of getting my car (three months ago). I had to wait while they cleared the showroom and moved three cars out so they could get to mine in the last spot of the floor. The wait was killing me, I thought I was going to pee my pants!
Glad to hear you are all smiles, can't wait to see some photos.
