I need input on this s2000!
Hey guys, I'm looking for a newer year s2000 in red, low miles and preferably a single owner.

What are your thoughts on this? Price isn't the biggest issue, the issue is will it be reliable. Does the paint look good? Can you see any read flags from the pics? Do the seats look worn *not the passenger bottom*
Let me know your opinions guys!

CarMax is very particular about their cars. I have never heard a bad story besides obviously they are not the cheapest and you cannot negotiate with them. There process of picking cars is very good. So theres a good chance it's a great car

Doesnt fit your color requirements, but check out this Rio CR for $24.9k.....Just for reference..Prices are getting reduced from those sky high prices. I'm checking almost daily. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...26124477&Log=0
I bought my AP2 from eBay, Flew to NY and drove it back Home. Car has been brilliant since day 1.
Looks pretty good but it's hard to tell from photos how the paint is, dings and scratches etc. The VIN numbers are on all of the panels I could see. Check all of them and inspect carefully for previous paintwork. Just because the VIN number is there doesn't mean the car hasn't been repaired.
Check the soft top closely for wear, a replacement is $1000+ and a big job to replace properly.
The drivers seat is showing moderate wear from what I can see in the photos.
The tires are cheap all-season "Xtreme" brand and should be replaced with higher performance rubber, the OEM Bridgestones will run about $1000, those tires probably cost $300. Tires are critical on the S2000, cheap all-season tires don't do it justice.
I personally prefer the 08-09 cars because of the V3 wheels and red stiching on the seats. The leather is also softer on the 08-09 cars. You might be able to find a 08-09 with similar miles for about the same price.
You can probably get that car for $25000.
