Most of the car trailers (the type that the car goes all the way on)(as in no part of the car is on the ground or being towed) from the rental places state that the car must have 16" or less wheels.

Thanks Av8ing1. Penske's car carrier looks just like U-Haul's. The wheel size might be the problem. Looks like my options so far are:
1. Tow the G35 behind the Tundra and drive the S separately. My wife wouldn't agree to drive the S that far or drive the fully loaded Tundra towing a car with a dog barking and cat screaming in her ear.
2. Have a relative drive the S to Texas and then fly him back to VA Beach. This is a real possibility.
3. Ship the car. I don't want to spend that much money.
4. Hire someone to drive the S. This is probably my least favorite idea.
5. Trade the S in for a new one and take delivery on it in Texas. I'd probably take a beating on this idea, but I kind of like it!

Indy, you should send a PM to one of the South Florida members, RatedS2k. His rental place specializes in Penske stuff & I'm sure he'd be able to tell you whether or not the car carrier would work w/ the S. He's one of So Fla's tech specialists - so he'd really give you the skinny on it.

When I transported my car from FL to SC we used a carrier similar to the one Av8ing1 gave a link too. IMO this is the BEST way to transport the S. Never put it on two wheels, the S isn't made to do that. I have the stock 16" wheels so I was able to ship it, not sure how the 17" inchers are gonna work, but I'd definitly try that first.
