Post I need some opinions! : )

Ok, so ive been in the market for an s2000 for awhile now!!..and after i rode in my friends s ...it was love!! : )

the real question is ap1 or ap2? i love the 9000 for ap1!! but i herd they are extremely tail happy or spin out alot

so people with ap1's... how hard do you really have to be pushing the car for it to spin out?? aside from that.. what are your thoughts on either car ap1 or ap2! the most difficult decision of my life!!!

i need help pleeease. thank you!!!!!

get an AP2..the AP1's 9k redline isn't all that. the power tappers off after 8000rpm's anyway.

Its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. As long as you don't drive like a retard, especially in the rain, you will be fine.

The problem most people had with the tailhappy nature of the car was the Potenza S-02, they have a really really stiff sidewall. The tire wouldnt let go until it was at the limit and then break loose real hard. After they wore out I switched to the Toyo T1-R, they slowly step out and make noise were the S-02 would have tossed out the back of the car. Hope this helps

<--

taking a long easy onramp curve at around 60-ish... shifted gear 2->3 (it felt like the car was planted, at the time) and immediately went sideways. like, 90 degrees to the road. went off into the grass and hit a bush.

don't be like me. it was too cold out for the s02s, february in ohio. i think as others have said, the difficulty with handling it is that it jumps out without much warning or feedback.

Actually, peak HP in an AP1 is at 8300 RPM. Then it begins to slowly decrease. Also, I agree with the Toyo T1-R comment. I had those same tires when I first bought my car, and there was always a little notice before a spin. I've only spun my car once and it was in the rain (right after it started raining, which equals very slippery roads) during a sharp left turn.

I wouldn't worry about which one is more tail happy, just get the one you like best.
